HOW TO COOK BBQ PULLED PORK IN THE SLOW COOKER
Ingredients:
- 3-4 lb boneless pork shoulder or butt
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 onion, sliced
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 cup your favorite BBQ sauce
- 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 2 teaspoons smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon dry mustard
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Buns or rolls, for serving
Instructions:
- Season the pork with salt and pepper.
- Place the sliced onion in the bottom of a slow cooker.
- In a small bowl, mix together the chicken broth, BBQ sauce, apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, and dry mustard. Pour the mixture over the pork.
- Cook on low for 8-10 hours, or until the pork is very tender and easily shreds with a fork.
- Remove the pork from the slow cooker and shred it with two forks.
- Return the shredded pork to the slow cooker and stir it well with the sauce.
