Slow Cooker BBQ Pulled Pork recipe

 


HOW TO COOK BBQ PULLED PORK IN THE SLOW COOKER

Ingredients:

  • 3-4 lb boneless pork shoulder or butt
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup your favorite BBQ sauce
  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon dry mustard
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Buns or rolls, for serving

Instructions:

  1. Season the pork with salt and pepper.
  2. Place the sliced onion in the bottom of a slow cooker.
  3. In a small bowl, mix together the chicken broth, BBQ sauce, apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, and dry mustard. Pour the mixture over the pork.
  4. Cook on low for 8-10 hours, or until the pork is very tender and easily shreds with a fork.
  5. Remove the pork from the slow cooker and shred it with two forks.
  6. Return the shredded pork to the slow cooker and stir it well with the sauce.
  7. Serve the pulled pork on buns or rolls and enjoy your delicious Slow Cooker BBQ Pulled Pork.
