Tandoori Chicken Recipe

                           




Here's a recipe for Tandoori Chicken:

Ingredients:

  • 2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken thighs
  • 1 cup plain yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon grated ginger
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 2 teaspoons ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon ground coriander
  • 1 teaspoon ground turmeric
  • 1 teaspoon garam masala
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
  • 1/4 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Lemon wedges and chopped cilantro, for garnish

Instructions:

  1. In a large bowl, mix together the yogurt, ginger, garlic, cumin, coriander, turmeric, garam masala, cayenne pepper (if using), lemon juice, salt, and pepper.
  2. Add the chicken to the marinade and toss to coat. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or overnight.
  3. Preheat the grill to high heat.
  4. Grill the chicken for 6-8 minutes per side, or until cooked through.
  5. Garnish with lemon wedges and chopped cilantro before serving.

Please note that Tandoori chicken is traditionally cooked in a tandoor oven which can reach very high temperatures and give the chicken a unique smoky flavor, if you don't have access to tandoor oven, you can use your grill or oven.
